Floral Mountain Wedding in SoCal

Nestled amongst majestic oak and sycamore trees in the Santa Monica Mountains, you'll find a lush and secluded oasis... The Lodge at Malibou Lake! Annaliese and Alex wed next to Malibou Lake which is set within a private 5,000 acre preserve. Since 1936, the Lodge has hosted weddings, meetings and event of all kinds. During the 1930s, even Clark Gable and Carole Lombard frequented the Lodge, amongst other Hollywood luminaries. I have been lucky enough to visit Malibou Lake on several occasions when I used to work for the Studios. And it is stunning!

The couple chose my Vintage Botanical wedding invitations to announce their big day. The florals were tinted with an orange, ruby and cornflower blue color palette. The floral illustrations were taken from my collection of 1850's scientific manuals and really echoed the lavish flowers featured at the Lodge. And have you ever seen a more unique seating chart? The couple's favorite albums were used to denote seating assignments. What a lovely way to let your own personality show at your ceremony.
