Fairy Tale Wedding in Oregon Forest

Overlooking the historic Columbia River Gorge, Bridal Veil Lakes was the perfect setting for Abi and Brady's dreamy wedding. Located just 30 minutes from Portland, this lake-side venue oozed with fairy tale allure and magic! Add a little Scottish wedding flair and you definitely have a colorful event!

The couple chose my "Wildwood" wedding stationery suite to announce their day. The imagery from this design hails from the mid 1800's from scientific botanical journals. The lush and intricate botanicals matched the verdant Oregon scenery, and the plucky little orange and marigold flowers matched the bridesmaid's dresses. Scientific botanical journals have a deep history in comprehensive research which included plants and herbs and was meant for medicinal research. I love the detailed artwork as it conveys a different time, and evokes a theme that is not easily conveyed through a traditional modern wedding invitation.
